Toronto:  Air Canada has inaugurated a new shuttle service linking the Waterloo International Airport with Toronto Pearson Airport. This milestone marks a significant step towards facilitating smoother journeys for passengers traversing between these key transportation hubs.

Operated by six buses shuttling daily in each direction, the service offers an enticing perk for Air Canada passengers, who can avail themselves of the shuttle for free. This move is poised to alleviate common travel challenges and provide added convenience for air travellers.

To ensure a seamless experience, Air Canada has implemented check-in procedures, baggage drop, and boarding pass issuance at Waterloo Region’s airport, allowing passengers to board the 36-seat "luxury motorcoach" with ease. Upon arrival at Pearson Airport, passengers can proceed through security while their luggage is automatically transferred to the connecting flight.

At the launch event, Karen Redman, Region of Waterloo chair, highlighted the service's potential to bypass the notorious traffic congestion on Highway 401. Redman stated to CTV News Canada, "This is a luxury liner that will go in the HOV lanes which are pretty much from here to Pearson and that will expedite travel."

Equipped with leather seats, power outlets, and WiFi access, the buses offer a comfortable and connected journey. Air Canada further assures passengers that in case of any delays preventing timely arrival for a flight, automatic rebooking onto another flight will be facilitated.
